Very sad news

Dan Weiskotten, a tireless community historian and archaeologist, has died at age 45. Dan was once the Cazenovia town historian and was very generous with his thorough research, sharing extensively at his website.

Dan graduated from the same undergraduate archaeology program I did at SUNY Albany, a fact we didn't discover until we began conversing by email in 1997. Dan provided invaluable insight and great stories about life in Cazenovia, both past and present. I will miss him.
