From the Post-Standard "Extra" section on syracuse.com:

Man admits sandwich shop caper
A Cazenovia man told a Madison County judge Thursday he tried to steal money from a Subway sandwich shop, but he couldn’t get it because the clerk kept slapping at him.

John R. Bushneck, 23, of 2525 Juddville Road, pleaded guilty to felony attempted robbery as part of a plea bargain that will see him receive 1 1/3 to four years in state prison at his Oct. 13 sentencing.

Bushneck said he tried to rob the restaurant on Albany Street in Cazenovia June 22.

Update: From the 10/14/2005 issue of the Post-Standard, Mr. Bushneck will serve 1-4 years in state prison as part of his guilty plea for the attempted robbery. His mother pleaded with the Madison County judge, Biagio DiStefano, for a sentence of mental health and substance treatments, but the judge refused.
