Grants improve facilities, services in Cazenovia

According to the Post-Standard, Cazenovia Village has received a $75,000 grant to create new pavilions on new concrete pads at Lakeside Park. The pavilions will replace the existing ones, and should be done before winter. Pavilions will be available for rental by village residents.

Also, the $33,000 grant for CAVAC will go to a twelve-sensor EKG monitor (heart monitor). The article quotes Gene Smith, past president of CAVAC, who says that it will help provide a more complete picture of patients' heart conditions.

Congratulations to the village and to CAVAC; diligent pursuit of grant money has led to several improvements in our quality of life, and our government and private organizations deserve recognition for keeping things moving forward.
