At the FDA, religion tops science

What is happening in this country? This article from USA Today describes the process the FDA used to reject the "morning after" pill, and how the Government Accountability Office reports that the FDA's review was "highly unusual" and "tainted by politics". So we can prove massive subsidies to pharmaceutical companies in the name of big profits, but a drug that would actually reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies (and reduce abortions, too!) can't be provided to women.
