Syracuse's "Misguided Transformation"

Here's a great article on how lack of zoning enforcement can lead to neighborhood deterioration when some homeowners/landlords neglect their community in the interest of quick profit. The example in question is the Westcott Street area of Syracuse, but this can apply just as easily to any community in which absentee landlord situations and an inattentive (or otherwise focused) government can spell neighborhood decline.
