After a night in which we got about four inches of powdery snow and high winds causing lots of blowing and drifting, things have really calmed down. I just put my daughter on the school bus - the school opening was delayed an hour because of the weather - and it's actually sunny and calm out now. I love the look of freshly-fallen snow on a clear morning.
