Milky Silverware, Green Hair

The Post-Standard's Robert Baker writes today about the ongoing effect of the damaged control panel in the village of Cazenovia's water softening system. Village water remains safe and drinkable, but the loss of the softening system means that soap isn't as effective, minerals are baked on to (still clean!) silverware at restaurants, and even blond hair can be changed in appearance based on the mineral content of the water!
