Focus!
As I've lately been receiving more feedback about the Cazenovia Pilot site, I want to make a few things clear:
- This site is primarily an outlet for my take on living in Cazenovia. I like to provide news and information about the area, but I'm just one person and I have no journalism experience. So the "news" to be found here is based on my observations as I go about my daily life (sometimes I bring a camera and take notes), or will be linked to newspaper sites or other online references to Cazenovia.
- I welcome others' contributions. If you have an event to announce, a comment about Cazenovia itself or about the Cazenovia Pilot, or you just have something to say, please let me know and I will publish it here.
- I would be thrilled to welcome additional regular contributors. Regardless of your perspective, if you have something to say and don't have your own blog -- just let me know and I can add you to this site as an author. Then you can post your news or information on the Cazenovia Pilot.
- While this blog is mostly about Cazenovia, it's also my personal platform at times. I started it at first because I found the editorial focus of the Cazenovia Republican to be very different from my own perspective. So sometimes, I'll post something about national politics, or a silly story from the news - something that has nothing to do with Cazenovia news and information. I understand that some of you don't appreciate that, so I always categorize the post as "Editorial". I also strongly encourage someone who disagrees with my perspective to either engage me in conversation about it or to simply start your own blog. It's easy - try Blogger to get your own free blog. This includes the ability to easily add photos to your blog and have it available to a network of millions. It's so easy that my 65-year-old stepmother and my 72-year-old father both have their own blogs there.
I love doing this, and I love Cazenovia. I hope everyone will continue to find the Cazenovia Pilot site useful and that you understand my motivation now. Have a great weekend!
