The Chilly Chili 5K run/walk will be held in Cazenovia on Saturday, February 11 at 10 AM. Last year's race -- the first year it was held -- drew 470 participants from five states! There are many sponsors and the race has received more publicity this year, so perhaps it will be even bigger. The Post-Standard profiles the Chilly Chili race in today's edition.
Race director Gail Boone is quoted in that article. She says, "There is chili and beer at the race's conclusion. People will run in the snow for a reward like that!" I have to agree, and I'm not even a runner!
The race occurs during the same weekend as the Cazenovia Winter Festival (February 9-12), so it's a great time to get out and about in Cazenovia whether you like to run, ski, eat, shop, dance, or just chill (!) out.
Hey, Jim... You should have let August know of yet another race he could run.
Have a nice day. Thought I'd visit your blog.
