The "Hi Neighbor", as anyone who gets mail in Cazenovia or many other places in Madison and Chenango counties knows, is a free "adpaper" similar to a Pennysaver. It is run and published locally (in Cazenovia) and comes out weekly. It's the kind of mail that isn't sent via mailing list; instead, it's sent to everyone with a postal address.
Interspersed with the advertisements are editorial commentaries. Some of the commentaries have been notable for their strong stand on issues of the day, especially the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A recent editorial poem (copies from an online source) caught the attention of several participants on the Cazenovia Area Discussion Forum part of this site, some of whom are interested in actually stopping delivery of the Hi Neighbor as a result.
