It's Official: Albert's Is For Sale

From today's Post-Standard:

A decades-old Cazenovia landmark restaurant and bar is officially for sale.

After 47 years of business and several years of rumors, owner John Marion said he's ready to sell Albert's, located at 52 Albany St.

Marion said it's not a done deal, and he declined to say what the sale price is. But he said there is interest in the property.

The restaurant wouldn't close until it's sold, Marion said. He said the time to sell is now, for many reasons.

"None of my children are really interested in taking over," Marion said. "I'm 72 years old. It's just time to get the hell out of here."

The entire article is good - John Marion, the owner, is interviewed; so are patrons and village trustee Paul Brooks.
