Jeff Brown for State Senate ?

While Jeff Brown's campaign plasters the airwaves, print media, and Internet with ads that portray him as a wholesome family man and tough-on-crime conservative (and maybe he really is those things), what's the real story? Where is he getting all of this money to buy ads for what is a relatively poor upstate district, the New York State 49th Senate District?

Who wants so badly to defeat Oneida native and current senator David Valesky?

The answer is Joe Bruno, the enforcer of New York State government gridlock and a man who is desperate to remove Democrat Dave Valesky whose presence is a black eye to the Republican party's upstate power bloc. Read more at the Albany Times-Union's political blog including this entry on the 49th specifically.

So it seems to me that if you want a fighter for local issues and someone who is going to stand up for government reform in New York State, vote for Dave Valesky. If you want someone who's a tool of the status quo, vote for Jeff Brown. It's that simple.
