The Syracuse Post-Standard has endorsed David Valesky for Senate. Here's their take on Valesky's credentials as a reformer:
Valesky was first elected two years ago with a mandate from the voters to work for real change in Albany. He has steadfastly pushed for legislative reforms that would make lawmaking more democratic. He can take some credit for pushing lawmakers to enact two on-time budgets. And here's their comment on Valesky's opponent:
[Jeff] Brown says he has fought for reforms in the state Legislature and would continue to do so in the state Senate, where he would be in the majority party. That might be difficult, since Brown, who seems to be a capable challenger, has received considerable financial support from [senate majority leader "Uncle Joe"] Bruno.
