Cazenovia, N.Y. – The following events at or sponsored by Cazenovia College are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
Note: The Cazenovia College Art Gallery is closed in late December and January during Winter Break. It will re-open on Jan. 25 (see below).
Thursday, Jan 4: Business students from Syracuse area high schools will compete in the annual DECA Region 9 Academic Competition at Cazenovia College beginning in Hubbard Hall with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and ending with an awards ceremony at about 4:30 p.m. DECA/Delta Epsilon Chi is an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service. Monday, Jan. 22: The Cazenovia College Chorale will hold rehearsals for its Annual Spring concert every Monday beginning on Jan. 22, from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. in the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College, 18 Lincklaen Street in Cazenovia. New members are welcome through the February 19 rehearsal. The Chorale is made up of Cazenovia College students, faculty and staff, and members of the local community, who love to sing. The spring concert will be presented in April.
Thursday, Jan. 25: The Cazenovia College Art Gallery presents the College’s annual exhibition of work by faculty members of the Art and Design Program. An opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery, and will feature a lecture by Utica Sculptor, Jonathan Kirk, whose work, “Argonaut” is displayed in the Gallery’s Sculpture Court.
