College Theatre holds Open Casting Call for "Seussical the Musical"

Open auditions are being held for Seussical: The Musical at Cazenovia College. Here are the details as provided by the College's public relations service:

Cazenovia, N.Y. –Auditions for “Seussical the Musical,” will be held on Wednesday Jan. 24 in the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College, 18 Lincklaen St., from 3:30 to 5 p.m. “Seussical” is based on the works of children's author Theodore Geisel, known to the world as Dr. Seuss. The play will be staged Friday through Sunday, April 13 to 15; and Friday through Sunday, April 20 to 22. Show times will be announced.

There are roles for men, women and children, and auditions are open to all. Each auditioner should prepare a short song with or without accompaniment that shows off his or her voice and personality. Callbacks will be held on Friday Feb. 2 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

The production is being directed by David Lowenstein, who was a cast-member in the original Broadway cast of “Seussical;” and is produced by Colleen Prossner, executive director of the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College.
