Parents Talk with Cazenovia School Officials

According to this Post-Standard blurb, Cazenovia school superintendent Bob Dubik held the first session of today's community forums this morning. Here's what the P-S site says:

Cazenovia school Superintendent Bob Dubik held his second community forum for the school year this morning, addressing questions about the budget process and school programs.

Five parents attended the morning forum, with discussion topics including textbooks, special education, academic clubs and accelerated classes at the elementary school and the capital project currently under discussion by the school board.

Parent Debbie Cramer spent about 20 minutes asking for a larger art department budget. She said more money could be used for visiting artists, more materials, more help for students with their portfolios, costumes for the student theater performances, creating a drumline and taking class trips to art galleries and museums.

Forums will also be held at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. today in the Cazenovia Grill community room.

Staff writer Sapna Kollali provided this report.
