A reader in the forums is trying to identify the exact location of this Cazenovia House. Does anybody have an idea where it is?

Thanks!
Posted by jimj at March 13, 2008 08:52 PM | TrackBackHere are my two cents. I thought I would have been able to identify the house haveing traveled East Lake Road as many times a day but I can't say for sure. I will take a guess. Given all the land I believe its on the east side of the road not the lake side. The one I think it closely resembles is just past the "s" curve north of the polo field
I believe it is owned by the Wason Family.
A high school friend of mine Dick Stanford used to live in the house.
just a shot in the dark however.

Posted by: Pat Costello at March 14, 2008 03:22 PMI believe this house is at the bottom of Wright Road, on the left-hand side as you are heading north on East Lake. If it is the house I am thinking of, it is currently for sale, or just sold. I think it is this house based on the stone chimney. If it is not the house I am thinking of, it looks like it could be one of the cottages north of Lakeside Park, off Seven Pines. That is my guess!
Posted by: Casey at March 14, 2008 04:01 PMI am stumped- I even took a drive along East Lake Road today to see if I could figure out just where this house is. I think the guesses already posted are good ones ! I am eager to continue to read and see what others may think, as well as travel up & down East Lake Road to help & solve this mystery !!

Posted by: lakeeffect at March 16, 2008 02:49 PMI cant remember a house like this on East Lake Rd. but it sure resembles a house on thewest side of Rt. 13 across from Balina Rd. even the storage shed in the distance looks familiar. As always I could be wrong but thats my best guess Bill D
Posted by: Bill Dommett at March 17, 2008 01:48 PMLooks like the Seven Pines / Wright Road location is the correct one, based on the feedback here and in the Discussion section of this site. Thanks, everyone; I'm going to close comments for this post now.
