From Cazenovia College:
Four Cazenovia College students were the 2007-2008 recipients of the Dr. John S. and Enid Morris Scholarship. Established by Paul J. Schupf, a Hamilton, N.Y. businessman, the endowed scholarship is presented to one student in each of the College's four divisions to recognize excellence among Cazenovia College students. The Morris Scholars include:
Paul J. Schupf – principal of Paul J. Schupf Associates, a Hamilton-based investment firm – established the Dr. John S. and Enid Morris Scholarship Fund at Cazenovia College in 2000 in honor of his long friendship with Dr. and Mrs. Morris, Hamilton, N.Y., and their 40-year commitment to education. The endowed scholarship recognizes excellence among students who have demonstrated positive involvement in the College community, superior citizenship and academic achievement.
Dr. Morris served as interim president of Cazenovia College during the 1999-2000 academic year and continues his leadership involvement as a Cazenovia College trustee. Prior to his service to Cazenovia College, Dr. Morris taught at Colgate University for more than nineteen years, where he also served as acting president in 1977, assistant dean of the faculty as well as provost and dean of the faculty. From 1979 to 1990, Dr. Morris was president of Union College and chancellor of Union University.
