The annual Cazenovia Christmas Walk, presented by the Historic Cazenovia Business District Committee of the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place this Friday, November 30.
This is the 30th annual Christmas walk. It features a tree lighting (at 6:30 PM in front of the Presbyterian Church) followed by a holiday stroll through the holiday-decorated village. Shops will be open late for your shopping and browsing convenience, and local community organizations will be selling food and drinks from sidewalk stands.
Come out and participate in this excellent holiday tradition!
Thanksgiving Day is upon us! I hope all of you have many things to be thankful for this year. I certainly do: my daughter, my wife, my wonderful complicated families, my pets, my friends, and of course, my community of Cazenovia! Have a great day and a great weekend - enjoy the turkey, football, and hopefully a little snooze on the couch before the day is out!

Bill and Beverly Campbell are planning a recreational camp for the deaf on 130 acres in Erieville. The site doesn't have any more information than that, but it sounds like a cool idea.
Today is Veterans Day, when we reflect on the contributions and sacrifices made by members of our country's armed forces. Thank you to all who are serving and who have served.

Post-Standard columnit recently visited Lorenzo State Historic Site, the home built 200 years ago by Cazenovia's founder, John Lincklaen. The visit stirred memories for Case of his 1966 visit to the home when it was still a private residence. He tells about the visit - with some nice tie-ins to the current state of the mansion - in his column.
