Nice Video of Chittenango Falls

The Post-Standard has a nice video clip of Chittenango Falls State Park; those of you reading from out of town will appreciate this clip for the way it shows our early-spring weather as the trees start to sprout their leaves.

Unfortunately linking to the article is not working, so here is a copy of the video until Syracuse.com fixes the links.

Thank you, Readers / Writers!

Today the Pilot hit 500,000 page views since I started tracking hits a couple of years ago. Many thanks to everyone who stops by - sorry it hasn't been as frequently updated lately. Please keep reading and contributing in the Discussion and Classified areas - and thanks again!

Merrill Bailey and Walter Clark, Cazenovia 1940

Cazenovia Pilot Reader "Heyst" writes:

That's Merrill Bailey(left) and Walter Clark(right). Taken in Cazenovia 1940. Perhaps add, for those unfamiliar with Bailey, that his work is what they have looked upon for years on the walls of the Seven Stone Steps while "bending the elbow."
For more information about the conversation that prompted Heyst to send this photo, please read The Ox-Bow Man in the Discussion area.

Live music in the P&C

At the P&C grand opening party on February 28, live music accompanied a really great event. Here's a camera-phone shot of the musicians in action:

Skate Sailing on Frozen Cazenovia Lake

I don't know what you call this sport, but on March 22 I saw two people with parachutes using the wind to "sail" (be dragged) across the frozen lake. Here's a photo of one of them; click to see a larger version in a new window.

This was taken with my abysmal camera phone, hence the poor quality.
