Mann Thanks Cazenovia Voters

This letter arrived today from Cazenovia village trustee-elect Amy Mann:

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the 502 Village residents who took the time to visit the polls or submit absentee ballots this week to vote in the Village elections.  Public participation in local government was one of the basic tenets of my campaign, and I am proud to see how many of my neighbors take this privilege seriously.

I am honored to have been elected to serve as Trustee.  To recap some comments I made at the Candidates Forum last week, I vow to serve you honestly, openly, and fairly, and to apply the same level of thought and care to my service that I applied to my decision to run.   It is my intention to represent all members of this community, and to look at everything in front of me before making decisions.  When I do make decisions, they will be made with the best interests of this community in mind.

My successful bid for this position would not have been possible without the help of many people.  I had a tremendous amount of grassroots support for my campaign.  There is not room to list everyone individually, but everyone’s contributions to every aspect of my campaign were important and appreciated.

I look forward to serving you, and thank you for entrusting me with your Village.  I welcome your continued input, as I have during my campaign period.  I encourage you to stay involved in the decisions that shape our future, just as you were involved in selecting your Trustees.  At the end of the day, our most precious asset is our people, our different stories, and our love of this town, and that is what will keep us vibrant for years to come.

Thank you for your support.
