CAZENOVIA, N.Y. — Triathlon season continued in Central New York this weekend with the 12th annual Cazenovia Triathlon. The race began with a half-mile swim through Cazenovia Lake, followed by a 14 mile bike ride, and ending with a 5K run to finish things off.
Organizers said the setting is ideal for competitors, with hills providing some challenge, and a lake that is good for swimmers.
“The lake is great, it’s actually a perfect lake for a tri, because it’s small. It’s relatively sheltered from the wind. It’s a consistently flat swim,” said John Austin, Race Director.
The Cazenovia Triathlon is organized and hosted by the Central New York Triathlon Club.
