A new law in the Village of Cazenovia serves up a stiff punishment: a maximum $500 fine for hosting an underage drinking party. The second offense could mean two weeks in jail.

Village officials found more permits were issued to local residents, but out-of-town permit holders made up the majority of the traffic at the launch. Local residents accounted for 507 of the inspections, with 892 inspections conducted on out-of-town permit holders.
