An unusual string of vandalism incidents in Lakeland Park has caused Village Trustees to ask for the assistance of the community. A group of young teenagers is suspected of ripping down shower curtains, tearing off soap containers, slitting window screens, spray painting walls and smearing feces on the floor of the bathrooms in the park. The village of Cazenovia is experiencing an upsurge in vandalism on public and publicly-accessible property. For example, the control house on the canal outlet from Cazenovia Lake was recently repaired and painted, only to be re-vandalized by spray paint and structural damage.
